Is one radio play the same as being added to rotation?
Is one radio play the same as being added to rotation?
No. A station may play a track once, feature it within a syndicated programme or add it to regular rotation.
Rotation is generally a stronger form of ongoing support because the track returns to the schedule repeatedly. This is why looking at how often individual stations play the release over time can be more informative than looking only at the number of stations that have played it once.
As airplay continues to build, your campaign data helps you see whether support is one-off or developing into repeated plays.
