What happens if my track gets downloads but no airplay yet?

A download is a positive early signal, but it does not guarantee a broadcast. A radio station may download a track for review, add it to its library, pass it to a presenter or schedule it for a later date.

Different stations work on different timelines, so there can be a delay between downloading a release and broadcasting it. This is why Syndicast tracks downloads and airplay separately and why campaigns should be evaluated over time rather than from a single early snapshot.
