What if my episode contains explicit content?

If your episode contains explicit material, you must clearly mark it as explicit when uploading it to Syndicast.

Radio stations may not listen to every episode in full before scheduling or broadcasting it, so they rely on the information provided by the show creator. It is therefore your responsibility to correctly identify whether an episode contains explicit content.

Failing to mark explicit material can create serious problems for broadcasters, including potential breaches of local broadcasting rules or regulatory action. Radio stations trust Syndicast to provide accurate information, and we rely on show creators to label their content correctly.

Please always mark an episode as explicit if it contains any of the following:

• Strong language or swearing
• References to violence, physical abuse or mental abuse
• References to sexual behaviour
• Discriminatory or offensive language

Even a single instance may be enough for an episode to require an explicit label.
