Minimum requirements for registering for online-only radio stations

If you operate an online-only radio station, you can register with Syndicast and access music, syndicated radio shows and radio imaging once your station has been verified and meets our minimum requirements.

To qualify, your station must meet the following requirements:

1. Radio Station License

You must provide proof of a valid radio station licence issued by your local music royalty collection society.

This can be the first page of your contract or licence, as long as it clearly includes:

• Radio station or company name, including the legal form of the business where applicable, or the licence holder’s full name
• Address, including street address or PO box, postcode, city and country

If you use services such as Streemlion, Live365, Zeno FM, Laut FM, Toronto Cast in Canada or Stichting Webcasting Nederland in the Netherlands, documentation provided by these services may also be accepted.

2. Email Address

We only accept official radio station email addresses.

Use an email address associated with your station’s domain or one that is publicly listed on the station’s website or social media accounts.

3. Working Stream

Your station must have a working, publicly accessible radio stream.

We do not accept streams hosted solely on video focused platforms such as Twitch or YouTube as the station’s main stream. Your station must operate a dedicated audio radio stream.

4. Active Website/Social Media Presence

Your station must have an active website or social media presence that allows us to verify the station and its activity.

5. Company Name / Legal Entity / Legal Person and Address

You must provide the legal name and address of the company, organisation or individual responsible for operating the radio station.

These requirements help us verify that Syndicast content is only made available to legitimate, licensed broadcasters.
